ROAD CLOSURE INFORMATION

Greetings
Again, Arthon Contractors will be continuing with rock blasts at the
south end of the project and in areas towards the middle of the 7km
long project. These will be well outside of the Goat's Bluff area in
accordance with discussions and protocols set with the Ministries of
Transportation and Environment.
This will result in Highway 97 road closures of 30 minutes continuing at
10 a.m. and at 1:30 pm within the Project boundaries.
Saturday blasts may occur at 10:00 a.m. depending on drilling production.
A 30 minute closure would result at that time.
We note that the longer closures up to the 30 minutes will occur only where
blast debris requires clean up off the road. These closure times often
are for a shorter period and may not, in fact, occur at all, depending on
drilling production on that day. However, we ask that the travelling
public plan for the full closure during the times posted.
On Monday, Apr 14, we will be scaling the rock face at the south end
of the project and will be into full 5 minute delays from 8:30 am.
Scaling involves using an excavator to loosen and clear danger rock
from the adjacent rock face.... to be hauled away in a truck.
Summary
30 Minute closures :
Mon April 14 --> Sat April 19 @ 10:00 am (Sunday EXCLUDED) &
Mon April 14 --> Fri April 18 @ 1:30 pm (Sat. & Sun EXCLUDED)
5 min. delays can be expect anytime between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm.
Minor stops for truck crossings of the highway can be anticipated anytime
from 7am through to 5 pm.... generally 30 seconds or less.
