ROAD CLOSURE INFORMATION

Greetings
In the following week, Monday May 5 through Saturday May 10,
Highway 97 road closures north of Summerland will continue to
include a half hour closure a 10:00 a.m. and a 1 HOUR closure
at 1:00 p.m. each weekday.
These closure times often are for a shorter period and may not,
in fact, occur at all, depending on drilling production on that
day. However, we ask that the traveling public plan for the full
closure during the times posted.
Minor stops for truck crossings of the highway can be anticipated
anytime from 7:00 a.m. through to 5:00 p.m.... generally 30 seconds
or less.
PLEASE NOTE :
THE HIGHWAY IS NOW A DESIGNATED 70 km/hr CONSTRUCTION SPEED ZONE.
30 MINUTE closure :
Mon May 5 --> Sat May 10 @ 10:00 am (Sunday EXCLUDED)
1 HOUR closure :
Mon May 5 --> Sat May 10 @ 1:00 pm (Sun EXCLUDED)

reduce speeds through the Construction Zone .... our flaggers do

Hello folks,
Currently, the project is using only one shift . . . a day shift.
Starting Sunday May 11 OR alternately Monday May 19, 2008 a night shift
is scheduled to be added. Which date depends on the project's progress
next week.
How will this affect you?
The following are night-time closures allowances:
30 Minute Closure allowances :
9:00 pm to 12:30am (anytime during that period)
1 HOUR Closure allowances :
7:00 pm to 8:00 pm
8:30 pm to 9:30 pm
10:00 pm to 11:00 pm
2 HOUR closures allowances
12:30 AM to 2:30 AM (ie late night, early morning)
3:00 AM to 5:00 AM
5 minute delays allowed throughout the night shift ...
Next week I will update you about which of these windows will be
used and when the night shift will start.
